starting a blog....hmmm

Well, I've decided to start a blog, I think I need to be better about writing things down, especially about Savanna, before I forget them.  I want to be able to share things with her, just in case I forget. 

Savanna is getting SO big now, I can't believe my BABY is 19 months old.  She is so active and just starting to talk.  She now says "hot" "out" "mom" "dada" "whats that" "where is it", and she still signs "eat" and "please".  She shows no interest in actually saying eat and please, she's quite content signing it.  She is such a good girl, she goes to bed without a fuss (most of the time), still takes a good nap during the day, and eats like a horse (which, by the way, she know what a horsey says LOL).  The only thing I need to start getting rid of soon is her dang binky, she LOVES it and it calms her so much.  I want to wait until about October to start getting rid of them, we are going on vacation in September, and I want the option of popping it into her mouth if I want on the long drive.  She is "starting" to potty train a little bit, she's not as interested right now as she was a few weeks ago.  She's still little, I just wanted to try it out and see how it went. 

Russ is still working as a wildland firefighter, in fact he left this morning for 2 weeks.  He's only about 40 minutes away though if he gets a break we can go down there and visit for a bit.  He is also still in the Army National Guard as a Sgt..  He may be deploying at the end of the year, nothing is set as of yet.  That is going to be so hard for him to be away from Savanna for so long, his biggest worry is that she won't know who he is when he gets back and that she'll be scared of him.  He has been so sweet with her lately, it is really nice to see them bond.  Savanna loves her "dada" and he can't seem to get enough of her kisses and loves.  We've been doing some arts and crafts after dinner and making dada "pictures".  Savanna is QUITE the artist if I may say so.  We took her to the pool here in town a few weeks ago, and Russ said Savanna is VERY advanced in the water (he used to be a lifeguard and knows these things), so we are quite proud of that. 

As for me, I am the manager of a rental car company, and loving it.  Not only am I the manager of this branch, but I am also my only employee, which means I do it all, right down to the detailing of the cars (which has shown me that I have a bit of OCD).  I miss my little Savanna banana like crazy, but we enjoy our nights and mornings together.
